Energy efficiency

Energy efficient timber doors

Wood is a naturally insulating material, and solid wood front doors or timber framed patio doors can receive excellent energy ratings when combined with high performance glazing.

Glazing

Timber door glazing

At Wessex Restoration, we’re proud to be able to offer a bespoke joinery service and recreate doors like for like. This means we go out of our way to restore existing glazed panels or source identical glazing for a replacement door. We offer authentic drawn glass types and we can even source decorative double glazed panels.

Types of timber

Wood types for doors

Softwood, hardwood and specialist timber are all available for our range of solid wood doors. Choose from popular and durable timber types, including air-dried oak, sapele, Douglas fir and European Redwood. Or why not ask us about other timber types? As long as it’s sourced sustainably, we can help you out!

Painting & finishes

Painted wooden doors

All our timber products are pre-treated with an anti-rot finish, with a prime finish ready for painting. Many people prefer to let the beautiful natural woodgrain shine through for a natural finish, however it is also possible to receive your new doors pre-painted, or we can arrange our painting and decorating services on-site.
